2008 forks fit 2007 model?

Hi guys,

I need new forks for my 2007 SV650s. I have seen some on ebay for £199 which are from a 2008 model. Will these be compatible with my 2007 model?

Any advise appreciated.

If your changing the forks, you thought about going the extra yard and get a gsxr front end?? Just to put it out there.

Are they compatible with a sv? and what year would it have to be?

going to cost a lot more than £200 for gsxr front end as you will need to basically take a complete front from a GSXR and bolt onto yours.

i take it your forks are bent?

On my wish list! Have a eye out for one myself.

Yes mine are bent and need replacing. I hadnt thought of this before. I may look into it and weight up the costs. But going back to my original post. would 2008 forks go with a 2007 sv650. I see no reason why not but you can never be too sure.

Yeah should do the front suspension hasn't changed a lot since 03 if i'm not mistaken.

depends how bent they are. if its just a slow bend with no creasing then you can get them straightened.
