Well, lost the closest word I can think of!
I use the Zumo with a Bluetooth headset and the headset tells me when the GPS disconnects. On my way home last night, while filtering through traffic, I heard the message "GPS Disconnected". I immediately pulled over and jumped off the bike to start looking for the GPS. I was about 30 metres from the bike when I heard the message GPS Connected" (I still had my helmet on) meaning I was close to the Garmin, so I stopped and started checking around that location.......about 20 seconds later I heard the message again saying "GPS Disconnected"; sadly that was the last I heard of it! ![]() I spent another 30 minutes checking under cars and on the road but all the effort proved futile so I gave up, got on the bike and headed home, feeling as gutted as one can imagine cos the Zumo cost me a few pennies. My conclusion is that someone picked up the GPS and walked away (or drove away) with it. Whoever had it was close to me for a few seconds while I was searching for it.......really annoyingly because I've only had it for 3 months! I've tried ringing my home insurance since I've got contents cover but they said they could only have covered it if I'd taken an additional personal cover so they asked me to ring my bike insurers. |

that's a bummer and an expensive loss.
i'm the apostate as i never have the thing talking to me as it gets on my nerves being told to turn right several times for the same turning, so i look at the spaznav to where i need to go. |

The SatNav holder is very secure. I did 7 days round Europe and had no issues. I suspect I didn't "lock" it, so it wasn't seated properly in the holder........user error. |

My home insurance covers me for electronic equipment up to £1500 I think, that includes cameras, iPads etc etc, might be worth checking the documents on your insurance, they don't always tell the truth when you want to claim.

Could it be that a 4-wheeler ran over it and crushed it, and that's the reason you permanently lost connectivity?

That strange noise you keep hearing from the bottom end is actually just your sat nav knocking around in the belly pan.
