Best place for service parts? - SV650.org

Hi,

Thinking about giving the SV a service.

Few questions.....

I know i should do the following:

Air Filter
Oil & Filter
Spark Plugs

Think it also needs a new set of front brake pads but is there anything else you would recommend me check on a bike thats done 39k?

Also where is the best/cheapest place for service parts? Im seeing service kits going for £60 upwards for my bike.

The history determines this.

If at 36k it was given a full and comprehensive service, then the 39k one will be very light. If it's not been touched much in 39k, there could be a fair amount that needs doing.

Keep a record of what you do with a bike including mileage and date, it's easy to forget which jobs have been done recently and which have been longer.

Brake fluid for instance is recommended to be changed at 2 year intervals, so may or may not be due at any point

Have the valve clearances been checked?If not they need a look.
