Default LSL bars... Anyone seen this before?

(Hello Org... Still not dead. And I found a motorbike in the garage!)

So anyway, went to roll my poor abandoned child around in the garage, first time it's moved in years, and one of the clipons basically fell off. Check it out!

It definitely wasn't like that when I parked the bike, I guess its just fatigued out over time. There were fairly popular for GSXR front end swaps Back In Teh Day so wondered if anyone else has come across it. And, er, might not be a bad idea to have a quick look at yours if you have them! From memory these have had one very slow drop but nothing excessive, and that was a fair while before I parked it up...

PS, bike won't start. Thread may occur.

i'd say the drop put a hairline in it and with the clamping force it's just got worse.

good to see your dragging the old lady out again m8.

Tell you what though, the OEM TL1000S clipons had been bounced off every bit of tarmac in Scotland and never fell in half

Poor old thing is a bit the worse for wear, trying to decide what to do with her. Get it unbroken first, maybe fit those newer GSXR forks I bought in 2007, wee bit overdue that...

I can't even remember. The blow past the waterpump? Sorted that, it was a pain in the arris. It's not currently leaking any oil but then maybe it doesn't have any oil in it. Should check that eh

Got sidetracked into stripping paint off car wheels instead of bikefannying tonight. I think there'll be no progress tomorrow on account of I now have no skin.
