Nah I was teasing, been soaking in Plusgas for last few days so they came out but were tight as hell. Lots of heating up, more Plusgas, heating.... They creaked like mad coming out. Interestingly mine seem to be stainless or at least the head of the Allen bolt had A2 stamped into it.
Such a relief they are out, just got to get the exhaust off now to grease up the swing arm. Grease nipple it or not? Shim the play out is another thing I might do not that it's much.

Well thats good that someone had used stainless fastners. The OEM ones on the curvy are stud and nut, so if it was an allen bolt, then it had been changed at some point.

It's on a pointy though so I presume someone has replaced them before but still used cap screws. They were still damn tight, I really thought they were going to snap the loud creaking they were making. I used a 6mm Allen bit in a longish ratchet so I could get good pressure but under control. What a hero.

When I get the swingarm off do I bother putting a grease nipple in and if so M6 or M8? Finally straight or 45°?

I tried to remove the original allen bolts on the front header pipe on my K6. One came out after a fair bit of persuasion with ACF-50 and heat, it creaked like mad and was really hard to move, even with the long-shank allen keys I've got. The other has yet to move a millimetre

I haven't tried removing the exhaust out of the head yet looks quite gummed up, I might try running it to get it all up to temperature

SL2 has stainless cap bolts from the factory. Have been thinking about getting them out and putting some antiseize on them but not got round to it yet.
