Default SV650A 2016-2017 muffs

Hi everyone,

I'm looking at muffs for my bike, has anyone tried:

  • Tucano Urbano r3631
  • Oxford handlebar muffs
  • Givi TM418
?

The Tucano ones seem to have a frame that connects to the handlebar which should make it more steady and less floating, but I'm not sure they fit, don't seem to have an hole for the mirror, too. Has anyone mounted them?

Oxford seem "water proof" which is great, but they seem a bit more loose.

Don't know much about the Givi ones, just saw then and edited the topic.

Or if you have any other model you believe being better, please let me know.

Thanks.

Can't comment on those muffs as I haven't used them in years. However I have seen people use old plastic bottles taped to the handlebars to great effect. Can't find a decent photo but this image gives a general idea.

Other folk have used V Strom hand guards ( or similar ) to keep the wind off to good effect. Protect you hands from wind chill and they'll stay warmer.

That is hilarious! Looks like something I would have done, too. I don't have such big bottles, it would have seriously been a good temporary solution, but I would have still looked for something more... "stylish" in the long term.

Hand guards look less warm for a UK winter (and my gloves are a bit crap, I can't drive with proper ones) and I presume more "fixed".
