R&G ShockTube
Now I have my shock back from Nitron looking all spiffy and new, I was thinking about keeping it looking (and working) good while the weather might be crap. Wondering if anyone has tried the R&G ShockTube or anything similar?
I have a hugger, but removed it as there wasn't enough room for tyre warmers.

Re: R&G ShockTube
I've got one on my bike. I'll be removing it soon so will let you know what the state of the shock is! (was a brand new Hagon shock), so will be able to see how well it's kept the water/dirt off.

Re: R&G ShockTube
All looked ok tbh, a bit of water obviously got in. But i think it's certainly a lot better than if it didn't have one at all

Re: R&G ShockTube
I made a DIY version from some old bike over-trousers in black waterproof nylon type material. Made a plain tube on the sewing machine, and fixed it in place by gathering the top and using cable ties, leaving the bottom end open so it can drain and breathe. It's been on the Nitron shock for a coupe of years and so far has worked perfectly.
It's important to let them drain any water and keep ventilated.

Re: R&G ShockTube
Cheers guys. Now I've refit the shock and the new exhaust though, I'm not confident I'll have enough room between the shock and the rear downpipe that I wouldn't be melting/burning it though. Maybe why they don't seem to list an SV-specific one (that I could see).
