Canal boat diaries
Anybody else watching the Canal Boat Diaries? I've been really enjoying the low key and undramatic nature of the series.

Re: Canal boat diaries
I've watched a bit. Find it quite relaxing.
Also Winter Walks... https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000qftx

Re: Canal boat diaries
The guy is really good - in a different class to G Edwards recent efforts. Had many canal holidays most ended up having components of stress like when the gearbox failed and would only go forward causing me to ram the lock gates at full speed, luckily they held!
Enjoyed the winter walks but got a little fed up by some that kept referring to there life of stress they had managed to escape from for the day. The original Yorkshire walks with Shanaz Gulzar were very good and if you missed them worth catching up on. I am a grumpy old man I know |

Re: Canal boat diaries
Episode 1 is no longer available unfortunately. Just watched Episode 2 where she walks up to Stoodley Pike. Enjoyable half hour viewing. I'll watch the other episodes over the next couple of days.

Re: Canal boat diaries
I thought that she seemed to 'get in the zone' if that makes sense

Re: Smile of the day - What is yours? Some tv programmes on recently - Robbie Cumming on Canal Boat Diaries on BBC4 at 7.30 pm. He is heading up to Ripon on his current trip. Another one was Zen Motoring which was on for about 15 minutes for a few nights recently. A few more people could do to be a bit more like that bloke.(sorry, I forget his name ) |
