Default Another trip to Betws y Coed

As long as the weather forecast stays good for next Tuesday (22nd April) I'm riding up to Betws y Coed again, to collect my repaired rucksack from the Alpkit shop. Anyone else up for a ride?

Thanks Craig, hopefully it'll be a nice run again. I'm keeping a close eye on the weather forecast.

On Tuesday I will be depositing my mother back at Victoria Coach Station for her journey home. Thankfully. This is the third night of five and all I want to do tomorrow is get kitted up at dawn and come back in time for dinner, but I don't think Lady Poppy would speak to me for a year if I did that...

Hope the weather holds for you Gary.

Well the weather forecast is now crap for Tuesday, so I think I'll ride up on Thursday instead as it looks to be a better day.

Cracker of a ride up to Betws y Coed. Rucksack collected and an an equally good ride back to Bala, where I'm currently stopped for a coffee.

No, I grabbed a coffee at Tŷ Coffi at the top end of the High Street, then came back over Bwlch y Groes. The intention had been to go from there to Llyn Efyrnwy, but the road is still signposted as being closed over the tops so I ended up riding back through Llanymawddwy and out at Dinas Mawddwy - Mallwyd - A458/A495 back home.

Bwlch y Groes!

Yes it seems Storm Daragh wrought havoc around Vyrnwy and the road around the lake is not completely clear yet. The road down Eunant was still blocked at the bottom last time I checked online. It's only two weeks or so since access to Rhiwagor was restored.
