As some of you may know, some ba*ard stole my SV
![]() http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.php?t=14251 I could do with some advice as to what it's worth... It's a Yellow 2000 SV650S with about 17000miles. Had a Quill T3 fitted too. It was of course in immaculate condition ![]() No service history tho, other than 1st service. Any advice appreciated Rich |

I'd say around the £2k mark, as add-ons don't add value, and lets face it 17k miles is considered high mileage (yes I know it's not, but hey it's what adealer would say).
Cheers Mark.

What value did you insure it for? Your insurance company cannot go above this figure for a theft payout... but your premium was based upon this value - so push for as close to it as you can get!

Definatley do as above!
I had a car nicked a few years ago. I'd had it for nearly 2 years and put 40,000 miles on it, but it was still insured for the value i'd paid for it. Assessor that came round actually advised me to value it at that same maximum amount, as they can only haggle downwards so you may as well start at the top. Bizarrely they paid the full amount so I had a free car for 2 years. ![]() However, guess you still need a valuation so if they do haggle you'll know how low your willing to go. Best of luck. |

Had it insured for £2000 so hopefully i'll get that then! I hope they don't **** me about too much.
My next decision is do I buy another bike or do the sensible thing and get a car for the winter. The thought of freezing fingers for another year puts me off slightly! It is however a better time of year to pick up a bargin bike.... |

Why don't you try speaking nicely to a local dealer. I am sure that if you explain the circs, and tell him that you will be in the market for a replacement bike once the ins is sorted out he will be only to happy to help. And lets face it, the ins co. will only go by the prices in the books anyway, so try getting one step ahead.
Just a thought. |

![]() Or so they claim... ! Thank all the sunny-summer-sunday-riders out there for this!
