Default Are super-sports bikes becoming irrelevant?

Am I alone in thinking that the days of the supersports 600s/750s/1000s machines ruling the motorbiking world are coming to an end?

With all the speed cameras about, traffic-clogged roads, not to mention fine handling, quick and comforable alternatives around, are they becoming irrelevant as everyday road bikes?

Indeed, have they always been irrelevant as everyday road-bikes?

What will your next road-bike be?

I'm after a GSXR-750 next, I dont care if its uncomfortable and not practical I want one

I've always wanted that type of full on sports bike, but I didnt want to jump straight on one after my 125, the SV made sense as an in between bike to build my skills and confidence on

Hello hello, what's all this then?

This very thought is going through my mind now . Test rode a ZX6R and a Z750 today, thought it had to be done at some point to see what all the fuss is about these smooth IL4.
Well if i was looking for an everyday bike to commute on & a bit of weekend riding the the Z750 would be the sensible chioce, quite impressed with it really, but i dont commute often so not sure if it would be the right choice for me.
The zx6r was just mental i suppose,it just revved forever the brakes were amazing, stiff rear shock very planted on the front but not the most comfotable of bikes when in slow traffic but no problems when on the move, but would i have more fun on it then my sv?
Im undecided at the moment if i want to change from my Sv650s,think i will try a few more different bikes first.
