Pyramid huggers and rend extenders

Are they any good?

with the simple commute i do each day i didn't expect too see so much crud getting on the bike.

I've never fitted anything like thiese before so are they easy to fit too?

I'm a novice when it comes to bikes, but even I managed to fit a (pyramid plastics) fender extender without too much aggro.

Took about an hour and a half, but I was very slow/careful about it. I still get crud on the front of the bike, but it's noticeably reduced. I think it looks quite good too (not colour matched, but my bike is black anyway).

I'm looking at a hugger myself, but I'll probably go for an official suzuki one in the new year.

FWIW, I've got a Pyramid hugger on my Hornet and it's a pretty good fit and seems well made.

Dunno - the dealer did it before I picked up the bike.

Fender extenders are dead easy to fit - just pop the original mudguard off first, don't try to do it in-situ

Depending on the size of your screws (the instrictions for mine quoted a 3/32 drill - try finding one of those in your local B&Q) drill a slightly large hole through the original mudguard (say 2.5mm) as this is made of a hard plastic and might split. Then line up the fender extender, make some marks though the holes you've drilled in the mudguard, and use a smaller drill (say 1mm) to make holes in the fender extender, as this is of a softer plastic, so won't split when you screw into it. Then use the sticky pads to position it, and screw home the four screws.

I have a Pyramid hugger - make sure you get the right one for your bike as my bike is a K4, and the hugger is for a K3, which looks similar to a K4, but has some small but important differences - so the damm thing is wearing away the corner of the toolbox Other than that it's good

If you put a tail tidy on, remember that you'll get a lot more muck thrown up from the road during the winter, but that's a small price to pay for the bike looking much better

Fender extenders work quite well, as has been said i several posts by now .

They are very easy to fit and you don't even have to drill any holes i the fender to do it. I used "Super Plastix" by Loctite and it seems to hold up nicely. I know that Uthaug also glued his on, and so have a few others.

Don't take it anywhere, it's not a big job.
Hamicad make a very nice tidy, which isn't too difficult to fit.

my alarm led light is fitted in the original unit and i aint an electric techy..where do i get hamicad from? thanks
