Default What Mods worth doing?

Ello everyone. Just wondering if you can advise what mods to do first to liberate a few extra horses.all i have the now on the bike is a Blue flame Evo can, but my question(s) are these:

IS there any point to doing the snorkeloctomy thing? Or is it for a full race system only. I take it get new jets in at the same time?

Would a full race pipes be better route to go down?? Im only after more midrange grunt as its a naked SV i have and dont really see the need for more top end.

Will i notice any real differences dropping a tooth on the front sprocket? Like i say i barely ever get above 100mph anyway cause i just prefer b road blasts using the torque

Im planning on stiffening the front forks cause there softer than my beer gut. I take it new fork springs and new oil would do the job??

hi, i took the snorkel thing off the front of my k3 airbox and put in a k&n at the same time. the differnce is noticable, as it sounds much nicer, but also pulls stronger and smoother. i just have a can too. no doubt it would be better with a full system.
im planning to change to a bigger sprocket at the back soon, as i need the acceleration more than the top end.
im also going to change the springs and oil as im a big bugger, but dont just get the standard stiffer springs, go to the ohlins site and find out the correct wieght springs and oil for you and your type of riding. should be much better.

I have changed the can to a renegade race can, have a k & N filter. This together made the bike run very lean, so have now got larger jets fitted. It feels lots better. Don't really know if its made a difference to the horses but it sounds bloody great.

For more torque I have gone up a tooth on the rear sprocket. There is a noticeable difference ( I didn't expect it to feel much difference) and the power is quicker to arrive when you yank the throttle. I would not recommend changing the front sprocket. It adds a lot more wear to the chain. Rather go up on the rear again.

The SV was built to a cost so nice suspension was never going to be in the equation. You can however change the forks with progressives, change the oil to a heavier weight and change the spacers to get rid of the sag. All this can be done at the same time and fairly cheaply (still too expensive for me at the moment).

It doesn't make any more power but it makes it easier to get to... Install a 03-04 R6 throttle tube. It has a shorter throw and keeps you from haveing to reposition your hand to go WFO.

And don`t bother with a tail tidy if you ride in the winter or use panniers.

The big ugly black plastic is a mudguard, and tail tidies put the indicators where your panniers should sit.

Silly me.

I'll go along with bigape 1 tooth off the front is equivalent to adding 3 teeth to the rear sprocket. The thing I found with different gearing was you have to change gears a lot sooner, then end up leaving it in a high gear & letting it pull there. Also 3 teeth make a very noticable difference in tank range I think I lost 20 miles.
