Ignorant Car drivers who cannot even Park

Went out yesterday, beautiful sunny day, walked down to the next road (as mine is being resurfaced) to where bike was parked and took the cover off, didn't notice anything so took the cover home, then went back and started her, got on and only when I started moving (slowly) did I realise the front wheel is angled about 20 degrees to the right Now fuming I realise someone had knocked the bike over and buggered off. Next thing I know, a Kiwi girl from a nearby flat comes out and said some old lady had been tring to park a couple of hours earlier and had backed in to it (in the worlds largest parking space), knocked it over but hadn't noticed and driven off, some guys had stood the bike back up but because the cover was on they had walked off thinking it wasn't damaged.

Of course nobody had got the *******s number so no way to get insurance details. Now have to get it picked up to be repaired, assess what is wrong - not sure as forks could have been twisted, warped disks, wheel twisted, fender broken (anyone had any of these before and idea of costs). Not happy because some stupid **** did not have the curtesy to leave a note explaining they were blind, deaf (the alarm was apparently goiung off) and plain stupid . Not happy especially as unemployed and now have to use the tube

When I lived in Bristol, we saw a woman trying to park in a gap that was far to small (it was literally about 6 inches longer than the car). She reversed into the one car, then forwards into the other. She took about 10 minutes (we just stood watching her out the window), during which she hit each car at least 4 times. It ended up parallel parked about 3 foot away from the kerb.

Surely there was some vital emergancy that she absolutely had to park there? No, she went to the shop and got a newspaper. We watched her repeat the pallaver on the getting out. Sadly, we didn't see her drive off (the doorbell went and when we came back she had gone.) We had been planning on printing off 2 sheets (one for each car affected) reading,

"If your car is damaged, we suggest you chase up the silly bitch who drives the silver merc, reg no. xxx-xxx, as she rammed into your vehicle, repeatedly whilst trying to park."

What's remarkable is that this took place at 4.00 in the afternoon, on a summers day, on a very busy street.
