Default lewisham/catford - large police presence

Just a heads up, there seems to be a large police presence arround lewisham / catford at the moment. Not that anyone from here goes though there like a nutter but...

I see one bike, 4-5vans and about 3 -4 cars on my way through.
Looks like there pulling car drivers...

Just keep a look out

Dan

Err, No Dan, not me, came through there at about 14:30hrs, didn't see anything.

Perhaps if I'd slowed down a bit

Cheers Mark.

Sounds like an ANPR check..........

Let me guess - Lewisham and Catford are not at the "exclusive" end of the "quality neighbourhood" scale like, say, Chigwell or Esher?

Its an police check for untaxed cars etc...

There was one a couple of days ago in Kender Street/Besson Street just off the New Cross/Queens Road.

They like having it there, people cannot escape.

There were about 40 Police and others wearing Hi-Vis jackets in Camden High Street as I was going home from Soho on Friday night, they weren't at all interested in us on bikes, they were only stopping cars, I since found out that it was a check on minicabs; licences/insurance etc.
