Default My bike is now a kill mark on a delivery van :(

My bike got knocked over today.. while it was parked....... I honestly dont know how the bugger did it!! My bike was parked on a hill... infront of it was a skip.. behind the bike, down hill, was room to probably fit 5 cars.......... white van man comes down the hill.... pulls into space.. and promptly reverses.. into my bike

AA kindly taken bike over to garage in Rhondda.... first impressions are.. my new Remus exhaust looks like its been through WW3.. its NOT EVEN A WEEK OLD YET! bent rear break lever, busted front left hand side indicator, throttle handle is bent to the point the throttle is very hard to twist.. and doesn't spring back. But the best yet.... It wont start.

Neutral light is on... not a peep out of the fuel system. Just a smirk CHECK flshing on the display

Now have to wait for said delivery company to get back to me with rest of their details.

Now I am transportless.. as I dont own a car.. and dont have acar liscence. Now its a matter of how long does it take to get the thing fixed.

Ahh well....
My weekends plans are up in smoke.. only the pub left to go to now

bummer, at least you weren't on it... Van reversed over my dads bike while he was on it.....

does your insurance give you a hire bike? or as your claiming against him you may be able to get a hire bike at their expense under your policies legal cover.... check it out

Sorry to hear this.

The fall didn't knock the kill switch did it?

If not, you can diagnose the the problem by putting the bike into dealer mode, then checking the error code.

It will tell you how to do this in Tims TPS how to guide.

How horrible.

I hope your insurance knew about your Remus It would be horrible to think it wasn't insured.

Hope claim goes through without problems*.

Remus only went on the bike saturday.... So they dont know

Ive gotten their insurance details.. so I have to phone them tomorrow.

Do I need to tell my insurance company about this ??

Will it be a black mark against my name ??

Im all new to this crap.. and really have no idea as to what I should be doing!

The cost of replacing the Remus is cheaper than replacing a standard can, so I wouldn't think they'll be too worried on that score.

yes you will have to tell your insurance....
if its a no fault on your part it shouldnt count against you... try for a replacement if you can... its their fault so they should be liable for your plight of no transport...

glad you werent on it though.... as someone told me not too long a go... bikes can be fixed relatively easy, people not so....

hope it all goes through quickly...
