Default THEFT: Beware!

My mate called me this evening, and though this concept was not entirely unusual, the news was.

He's just had his Ducati 748 nicked from his place in Islington.

It was locked up, it was covered, it was out of sight. Definitely a planned overnight job, and looks like a neighbour's R6 was taken as well! This was all on Southgate Road, just behind Essex Road, last night.

So... everyone in the area... be vigilant!

w##kers i have only ever had an attempt at theft. never managed to lift it. but you have to remember you can only ever slow them down/detur them if there set on having they will in the end!
oh & trust no one i have heard of neighbours being paid to inform the thives when you go out and where the bike is kept. so trust no one and never let on to how its secured /ie locks etc ever thought of new ways of securing your pride an joy no matter how strange anything to keep them off. i high tensile cable across the rear of my garden in case anyone tries to take it out the back, & have made it so my drive & garden gates can not be taken off there hinges. i solidered piece's of metal over the hinges.

If you can get hold of one of those electric, battery powered cattle fences, they work well. Voltage only 9, but what a belt that gives if someone "illegaly" interferes with your property.
They easily fit into a Gold Wings panniers

No, they don't, especially when 110 amps are fed into nervous system ! But one of the members who was at last weeks meet, had his 1200 stole from Soho Sq last year. 1200 panniers were not big enough for the battery for electric (de)fence.
Only other time was 6 yrs ago, at Brighton, when rider was looking at the Pioneers . Don't forget, this Sunday, Pioneer Run from Epsom to Brighton.
Weather promises to be great for biking.

Not far from my preferred tyre supplier, Essential Rubber. They're on Downham Road.

I hope the insurance pays out quick.
