Default Advice on a GPZ please....

Interesting developments on my crashed CBR...

talking to mate about streetfightering it and hes got a semi-street fightered GPZ600...

now there wont be much difference in costs to him for doing my CBR or finishing the GPZ... and Im about to pick up another CBR6 next week so Im kind of tempted by the GPZ... I loved my GPZ500...

so anyone have/had a gpz600? are they pants or are they ok bikes? are there any major faults with them or are they like any bike and if looked after should be ok? Anything I should look for in particular?

just be interested to know peoples opinions/experiences...

The motors are excellent and last well, but the rear suspension linkage is always knackered, the seals are a joke, the shocks are usually well past the sell by date too.

Check the brakes carefully.

Also early ones have got funny 16" wheels, can make tyre choice awkward, fronts aren't too much trouble but rears can be.
