Default Haynes manual K3 onwards

Have been searching everywhere for a service manual for my SV650s K3 and haven't really com up with anything!!!
Have emailed Haynes about a manual for 2003 bikes onwards and they replied,

"Thank you for your recent enquiry regarding a Service and Repair Manual for your vehicle. Unfortunately, we do not produce a Manual for this particular model and have no plans to do so within the foreseeable future."

Which I'm sure to some of us is quite disappointing!!
Does anyone know of a manual thats simple, straightforward and covers most of the stuff I would want to do (servicing etc...)

Cheers

Word for Word the answer I got from them a year ago.

If everyone who wanted one e-mailed them they may see the value in producing one. It can't be a whole new re-write as a lot from the curvy has remained unchanged.

Is there a culture among Haynes-type manuals not to make them for comparatively new bikes/cars? You can see their POV. Usually, people will get a brand new vehicle (ok cars, more than bikes, but bikes too to some degree) serviced at a garage and it's only when the machine gets a bit older, does the typical owner start servicing it themselves (as there'll be comparatively little depreciation due to a lack of FSH).

Anyone know when (which year) the curvy haynes manual came out? Be interesting to see how long the inital model had been out for.

That said, I too would like a Haynes for the pointy.

My manual says 2002 so I'd guess they produced it as the original bike came to end of life and moved into the age where self service is the norm.

Noticed that www.parkers.co.uk now do bike valuations now, very useful.

Was hoping that Clymer (alternative to Haynes) would do one, but just had a look and they don't Looks like they'll leave it until at least another year, maybe 2... they'll want to be sure they recoup their expenses on printing, putting it together, etc. so they'll want a good load of people eager to buy one. Could even be 3 years away At least the Suzuki manuals are good... much more info than a lot of other bike manuals I've seen!

Haynes and the like generally wait for at least 3 years before bringing out a manual... With cars the warranty period is 3 years and most people take their cars to the dealer to get serviced within that period.
Same thing with bikes really - they assume people don't want to work on them while the bike's under warrant/doesn't need an MoT!

As exciting as ever Which is still a darned site more exciting than Seaford!! Just waiting for the town to be taken over by the usual influx of just over 17 Billion foreign students! The only thing I don't like about Eastbourne (other than the bloody students) is the fact that it's so bloody far away from everywhere else in the country!!
