Default Can you remove Fog City inserts from you visor?

I ask because mine has stopped working and it now mists up more than the visor and is a pain to wear at night (with it streaking the lights etc). The visor is otherwise fine and I would rather not buy a new one if I don't need it.

Yes, they just peel out like a sticker... They're sticky around the outer 5mm of the insert

Use a chisel to get the worst off then finish with a wire brush. That should get it off.

I haven't used one before, but you should be able to get it off. A bit of WD40 is normally good for getting rid of residue left behind by stickers etc. Give that a go, then rinse with soapy water.

If it's stuck that hard & fast, dump the visor in a bowl of warm, soapy water for half an hour then... It should shift after that!!

Mine works fine and has done for the last seven months.

Try taking it back to the shop you got it from - you never know you might get both new fog city and visor.

Unfortunately it is about 18 months old, I have lost the receipt and I would have to travel up to Leeds to go to the shop where I bought it.

I had this problem.

The reason it is fogging up is because there is water in between the insert and the visor. To get it out, care fully unpeel part of the visor, stuff some pens in between to keep a gap open and the balance the lot on a radiator for a couple of hours. That way all the water will evaporate away. Then restick the visor down and it will work again.

All this was caused because I used to wash the visor in soapy water and that had made the glue soft and some water had seeped in.
