Default chicken strips

Just wondering if anyone has ever been able to successfully get rid of the whole thing. I am down to about 3mm. Just curious really.

Nah. Never measured my chicken strips but I know they are fairly broad. I'm proud of them though, a mark of better control through corners.

I heard a rumor that it is not possible because of the profile of the tire. I realize that is no measure of rider ability, but us SV types always get razzed at the local hangout.

It depends on the exact profile of the tyre, some tyres won't let you get all the way to the edge without virtually laying the bike down, whereas others will already be most of the way with only a slight lean.

I never really got to the edge the stock tyre (D220?) but I swapped for a Sportec M1 and it was chicken stripless within days.

Front or rear?
I used some of the front BT020s sidewall... did use the rear to the edge but only *just*
Got Sportecs put on Smurfy this morning and doubt i'll get to the edges of them unless i fall off.

Is that not the back of a VFR? Had a race with one and they are fast as hell. Even with me on the 1000.

It is indeed a VFR a 98 Fi model. And yes they can go pretty quick but the best thing is that they are so prdictable in the twisty stuff, much to the annoyance of the Gixxer thou, mille and R1 that I blew off on the 339 last wednesday after the station meet
