Don't waste your time, seriously. The SV's wheel won't reliably accept a 180 section tyre as has been proven (tragically) in the last year as someone was killed as the tyre came off the wheel.

It will also slow your steering and has no benefit apart from looking a bit fatter.

All of this does beg the question of "Why!?"

As Jonboy has already said, the only practical purpose a larger rear will serve is to slow down your steering significantly. Add to that the fact that it has been proven to be not entirely the safest plan of action!

I have a Triumph T595 Daytona which has a 190 section rear fitted. I have found out after fitting another 190 to replace the one that was fitted when I bought the bike, that Triumph (and the tyre manufacturers) recommend both a 190 and a 180 section tyre for fitment. Looking on the web and talking to other owners, many people prefer the 180 as it improves turning ability and speeds the handling up "no end!" If I'd have known this before I went for new tyres, I would have gone for the 180!
(So basically, a bigger tyre is not necessarily the best thing!)

As for the front end, there are many people who have changed the front ends of their SVs because the OEM suspension is not as good as it could/should be. The popular choiced are GSXR1000/750/600 & the YZF-R1. However, these are not simple pull-out, slot-in jobs. They do take a lot of engineering to get them fitted properly. If you run a quick search you should find some relevant info.
