Imagine the following conditions: suspension fully extended, fully compressed and that somewhere in between when you're sitting on the bike.
Where should that somewhere inbetween be... Well, when riding along as a rule of thumb you want the suspension compressed about one third of it's available travel, so it can compress a further 2/3, or extend 1/3 (this is because most bumps will compress the suspension). The preload adjusters allow you to set the suspension so that this is acheived. |
