Default my k5 was built on a friday....

found out after 450 miles and a dead battery that the regulator/ alternator is putting out 12.4v(even at 8000rpm)... prob being that the bike at idle requires 11.8v. so my battery has never been charged up properly.
its now in for warranty but i'm worried this may have buggerd the battery in the long term but the dealer says not.....
what do you recon?
thanks!!

If the low output by the electrical system has been confirmed by the dealer, why not get them to update the regulator/alternator? No skin off their noses after all? Go a long way of you turning in to a very p*ssed off customer too I would have thought?
