Default Any hints on how to restore a carbon can?

I have a Quill T3 carbon can and it's looking a bit grubby. I took it off and gave it a light t-cut and polish. The inside nearest the wheel and the bottom have come up brilliant but the top and outside are still dull. I think the sun has stripped off the finish 'cos its parked outside work all day.
Does anyone know how they are finished? is it just clear lacquer and if i do respray it with clear lacquer will it do any damage?

Turn it upside down

Seriously, yes the finish on carbon does loose its shine from the sun. Dont know a cure myself, or if you could re-lacquer it
