tbh i never see the point in changing the shock. imho why not just buy a better bike to start with, i mean once you have done all the mods like scott oiler, lowers, screen etc to go any further u may as well spent an extra £2000 on a bike

Whilst it isn't absolutely ideal as far as as settings go, considering the "£ v Benefit" equasion, the GSXR shock swap has got to be considered a good deal.
Other than that then consider all the usual suspects: Penske, WP, Ohlins etc etc.

Keep an eye on eBay... You can pick up a GSXR1000 K3+ shock for anywhere between £30 - £60... You won't look back when one of these have been fitted...
Maybe need to look at fork springs too though ![]() |

Does the SV need to be modified to take the GSXR shock? Could I just turn up at a Suzi dealer with the shock and ask them to fit it? WOuld it matter whether the bike was in or out of warranty if I did??

![]() Look out for a GSXR 1000 shock on Ebay. K2 or later will do I think, red or yellow spring. It is more or less a direct replacement for your SV shock, and considerably more effective! They go for between £10 and £60 depending on use.
