Water Temp indicator light inspection
"Service Manual Quote
1. Lift Fuel tank... 2. Ingition switch on 3. Disconnect the water temperature switch lead coupler. 4. Check if water temperature indicator lights up when grounding the the lead wire coming from the main wiring harness with a jumper wire." Can you please tell me what 4. means? I just want to check to see if the Water Temp indicator light works. Thanks |

Connecting it to the frame with any old bit of wire.
I have never seen my water temperature light on. Assume that it has never overheated and the light does work. It seems a pity that with other warning lights they come on when you switch on the ignition as a test but this one doesn't. |
