Default Traffic Light Cameras ..Flash Flash ?

Hi,

What’s the usual procedure should one get caught accidentally going throught a red light (London) ..?

I'm guessing some form of fine, are the any points involved ..?

Yep. a TS10 I believe. Failure to obey traffic signal. Not a nice thing to tell your insurance company.

One always gets caught *accidentally*, sir.

Could try an argue it if there was a vaild reason... only they don't seem to think anything is a valid reason, even impending death.

They aren't interested in reasons. Only the 60 quid

Insurance companies aren't bothered about one TS10 or one SP30. If you get a couple then they are. In fact there have been cases where a driver with one of these convictions has recieved a lower insurance quote with similar circumstances than a driver with no convictions.

Fascinating. Perhaps you should have mentioned this to my insurance company who charged an extra £550 for a SP30.

Sounds like you got ripped off. If it was recent, I believe you can dispute it.

Whats there to dispute? When it was time for renewal and doing the usual ring round to many companies, they all came back roughly the same.

My SP30 makes no difference to my bike or car quotes, i did them both on line and for curiosity got a quote for me with and with out my points and there was no difference.
