Since SV650.org members appear to have experienced everything that could possibly go wrong with a bike, I wonder if any of you can help with this...
My rear brake pedal (on the Speed Triple) has started to vibrate up and down when pressed. This is an intermittent problem which makes it all the more mysterious. It was particularly bad tonight with the lever bouncing up and down quite violently. It can happen when the brakes are cold, so it's not the fluid boiling. I've checked and topped up the resevoir - it was on min - but that hasn't cured it either. I'd have thought that if the disc was warped then it would happen every time. Any ideas? |

id say the discs are worn, or you got something stuck in your calipars.
take em apart and have a look, dead easy stuff. also - check tyre pressures (and oil) while your down there ![]() |

I'd have it back to the dealers Ian, after all it's barely a few months old. Personally I would have said a warped disc too, but as you rightly say that would show itself all the time. Odd. Possibly a lose brake pad?

What about a slightly loose caliper mount bolt?
Am I right in thinking this has a single-swinger, so maybe hub bearing? |
