Default Not returning to idle quickly

I have just changed the carbs on my bike, did the standard 2 1/2 turns on the air screw, DJ150 jets (to start), K&N (snorked out), Race can.

It starts fine but if you rev it and then return to idle it sometime takes a while to settle down.

I have read that this is probably to do with the air screws, but cant remember for sure.

I don't know much about 4 stroke bike engines but this would certainly be true if you mess up the needles on the carbs of little 2 stroke engines for R/C models.

Looking at the carbs does the throttle mechanism return propery and quickly? If not, then it may need oiling or the throttle cable is shagged!

Just re-check that you have bolted everything back and that all is still nice and snappy on the throttle etc. Never heard of things not idling properly because of carb change unless they are out of balance, etc...or at least in the many times i have doen it, they havent

Yep the cables are all free and are returning fine. Throttle very snappy.

Probably just me being a tad parranoid since i have forgotton how my bike used to idle.

They prob need to be balanced as they have been changed.
