What's it for then?I thought chains were oily bits so why would you clean it?Just put more oil on it to sort any problems.

yep,.... agree, more mess than they are worth, plus mine started falling appart and breaking within a few uses of it.... less fuss to just use a rag and some oil to clean the chain with
