Default How long should flowers for the wife last?

I'm not talking about long till they die. How long should the "You bought me flowers! I love you!" effect last?

As you mighthave guessed I'm feeling a bit cheated at the moment...

My suggestion here is 'never' to buy flowers for your other half.

Buy them once and you've set an level of expectation that you'll invariably be measured against. If you've never bought her flowers, you can never get the, 'you don't bring me flowers anymore' line.

There is also a chemical imbalance in some men's brains which causes them to only purchase flowers for their partners when they've done somethign really bad like cheating on them. Women know this and always view unsolicited flowers with an element of suspicion.

Cynical... well just a wee bit!

I probably get flowers 3/4 times a year, and I have to admit my first thought is ...............

Whats he done/bought/broken etc.

But they are ALWAYS appreciated.

I've only bought my missus two bouquets of flowers. Once for the birth of our lil girl and once this year for her 25th.

Only on really special occasions so as not to set expectations

True, so buying unsolicted flowers at random times (when you're not in the doghouse) could actually be a good weapon in the battle between the sexes. She'll be worring over, "What has he done?" but at the same time she'll feeling guilty for doubting you. So buy her flowers and mess with her brain!

Evil? Moi?
