Default Suzuki GSR600

Please excuse my ignorance folks.

Has this machine been released in the U.K yet? I know some of you had a look at it at the odd show late last year?

I have just read an extensive road test on it in a Spanish mag and I have to say it gets great reviews. Last years GSXR motor and is very good at low revs also.

The detail and spec on it looks very good to me and I am very impressed by the way Suzuki have decided to think outside of the loop and incorporate a lovely looking swing arm which not only is aimed at function but has great form.

My opinion matters little but I would definitely be looking at that as a serious alternative to the Hornet or Fazer if I had a desire to go naked?

one was in evidence at the Ally pally show, and yes it seems to have all the right bits, although a little disappointed in the styling, as the plastic rad shrouds do give a certain "X-11" type look, the riding position looks to be just on the sporty side (but not by much), one step up from the hornet/ fazer types, more speed four territory (and as has been seen, not many are willing to pay the premium within the 600 roadster class), at the end of the day it'll come down to price.

Good try, we'll have to see what insurance bracket it's put it?

Cheers Mark.

I was in my local dealer yesterday and they had 2 in the showroom.

A few peeps showing some interest round them, the salesman started one up quite a nice sound when he blipped the throttle a bit like the GSXR 600 imo.
I only had a quick look round it not sure about the styling although I do like the look of the swing arm.

I will have a better look at it when I go to the bike show here at the end of the month.

I saw one in Fowlers at the weekend. Were I looking for a first bike again that would definitely have caught my eye. If you are not sold on a v-twin this ones streets ahead of the naked SV IMO. Having said that insurance group will be a determinant.

Just doesn't go far enough IMO... Step in the right direction but I'd still have a Hornet. Or one of these, then drop in a 750 engine and an USD front end

I meant to add... Twin seats! What's going on with these horrible things? They belong on 500cc parallel twins and tourers, but they're making a comeback on proper bikes. Disaster looms for the whole biking industry if they don't get this fixed.

Twin seats... Feh.
