Default Bennetts (pleasant surprise)

I just got my renewal for insurance and filled it in before they change their mind :P

I have to pay £132 fully comp and all in for a 650S, not only that but the excess has dropped from £250 to £200.

Im amazed that things have got £12 cheaper since last year.

One thing I noticed though is that they classify the SV650s as a group 14 motorcycle

I moved from Bennetts to E-Bike last year. Bennetts additional costs for recovery & legal cover made them a lot more expensive than the e-bike all in price

That's exactly what I did yesterday for the same reason. And the excess is also £75 lower.

I have also tried a quote on E-Bike :P

Im a tart and Bennetts have just lost my business too.

I forgot the old Adage "if it is too good to be true, it probably is"

A 2003 SV650S, fully comp for £100 :P

I hope they are ok

I got the same nice surprise too from Bennets. I was with Nash's last yer and got the renewal.....£219.00

On doing the usual ring around of the 0800 numbers in the back of BIKE mag eventually got to Bennets. 10 mins later £112.35. to say I nearly fell off the chair.

Now, that's for a GSX1400 with no immobiliser.....garaged, no mileage limit, and commuting cover.

The other half who has the SV.....£123.14.

Pleased?....me....I'm over the moon.

I go through Footman James. Renewal just in £120 fully comp for both Sv's. That also includes full Uk and European breakdown and accident recovery! But then I'm a old git, so that helps.

I chose Bennetts last time as they were so cheap. I then found out why they were so cheap. They will not insure you to ride any other bike regardless of what type of insurance you buy.

Because of this, this time round I changed to Carol Nash who not only were perfectly happy for me to ride other bikes but also insured my non legal race can. And it was a whole £12 more expensive than Bennetts for the year.
