Default daylight MOT requirements

Hi all, anyone know what the minimum requirements for a daylight mot are?

Cheers,

http://www.vosa.gov.uk/

I was watching Bike Cops UK a while back , where there pulled over a lad who was returning from a track day, he had no lights no mirrors, legal-ish exhaust, reg plate, but a loophole in the system meant he was legal as long as he was riding between an hour after dawn and an hour before dusk

But the police kept him waiting for the vehicle inspectorate (it was him who mentioned the above) to turn up then he had to find a room and stop over till morning

But hope the link sheds some light on it

Providing all the mechanical bits are in order (brakes suspension etc)

Basically you need a "constant tone audible warning" (horn) and a legal numberplate.
You might need a speedo as well but I'm not sure (good idea anyway)

No don't need one (brake light) I looked into this last year when thinking about making by trials bike road legal.

Have you tried giving your loacl bike MOT station a ring as (hopefully) they would know for sure.

Indicators are needed if the switchgear has turn switch.

Is that "on a stock version of your model of bike" or only if you don't remove the switch (fiddly, I know)? I've seen an R1 that had a race fairing, no lights other than a brake light and no indicators on the road. I've also seen a couple of crusiers without indicators.

a brake light and indicators may not be needed by law but ask yourself would you feel safe riding without these on your bike?
