Default Unmarked Police Squires

Went on Wednesday and on the way home noticed blue flashy lights at side of road just as you approach roundabout heading out of sherburn/towards cawood. Turns out it was a Blue Volvo (S60/S40/V70 ?? only caught a glimpse of front end) that had pulled a MR2 over and looked like he was getting a bollocking.

Further home, last roundabout before brotherton there's a bit of a hill, bout half way up 2 waiting cop cars had just tugged 2 Gixxers & a blade.

Nice to have spring / Summer on it's way aint it I preferred winter with no noddies about

Thats the only problem with going to Squires/Devil's Bridge etc on "popular" days. Hopefully if you stick to the speed limits and keep the noise down if you have a race a can on you should be O/K. North Yorks Police are having a crackdown today, on mobile phone users, speeding, bad driving etc.

Got a fantastic story about one summers evening at squires. It was a wednesday and heaving.

Anyway, me and my mate on his ZX7-R were getting bored of just drinkin coffee so we decided to go for a little ride around the local area.

We were wating at the lights in sherburn waiting to turn right back up towards the cafe.. and were back fireing our exhausts. Anyway, i wanted to go straight on and then take a left at Towton, thru the back road to Sherburn and then down to the cafe - my mate said "you must be mad, all these cops around" so he turned right directly towards the cafe.

I went my route, and it brought me out in the village, near the church in sherburn (fantastic road - do it - Tollerton Road )

Anyway, as i turned right to go towards the cafe.. i went up the hill and passed the gravel area on your left hand side. As i passed, i noticed a bike had been pulled up... MY MATE!!!

he got a rectification order for his exhaust.. i just plodded passed.. waving with my Veetwin sounding sweet.

I got back to the cafe, parked up, my mate turned up 5 mins later - he was not amused! after all he'd wanted to go straight back to the cafe due to the vast amount of hoodies around.. i managed to have my little ride out.. but he got stopped and i didnt... Ooohhhh! Sweet Sweet Irony!

it's better than having safety cameras all over the place though, isn't it?

i was reading today about one road down south that has 6 cameras spread over about half a mile!
