now then chaps and chapesses

i came down to blackpool a few years ago and there was a bike sprint event going on at the sea front, fyled or poulton i think its called.

the guy who won the lottery.......karl something, was racing on a fireblade at the time. didn't know it was on and found it purely by chance. good day. do any of you folks know if this event still takes place at all/when etc

"Blackpool Speed Sprint".....supposidly it's on the 22nd of April

It used to be on the lower promenade near Bispham Cliffs, with the "pits" near the Metropole Hotel

Where the green dots are: MAP

Not sure bikes'll be doing it because a rider got killed a few years ago

This is the only thing I can find about the event!! (I'm positive it used to be July/August!!??)

. i have a real passion for anything like this be it stock car, speedway etc. that sprint at three sisters looks a good run. never been there though.

barbon sprint is a good one for the vintage/power ranger fellows (hello senior P) so i've heard. will look up dates.

national automobile club........mmm. will keep an eye on this. even if its cars might be worth a look
