Default rev limiter on sv650s k5

Just wondering where the rev limiter cuts in , the red line is at 11k , however mine seems to cut in at 10.5 , to be honest its a bit of a waste of time as best range seems to be 7 - 9 k anyway.

Cheers Steve

That sounds right to me.
You're right, there isn't any point in leaving the gear change till you hit the limiter.

Link to my dyno graph

My power stays at a fairly constant 66bhp at the wheel from 8.8k to about 10k, then slopes off about 4 hp til the limiter. Don't know how them inferior pointies deliver their power.

I'll have to dig out the dynograph for my (now crashed - hopefully soon to resurrected) purrrrfect pointy - from memory the curve was similar (peak power drops of a bit)- but more like 75hp at the back wheel - is this possible? My Hornet 6 was producing around 85hp on the same dyno if thats any guide (crap dyno?).
