Default Grab rail gap fillers

Took the useless pointless grab rail off yesterday, need some gap fillers, which I've seen some people have on their SV's.

Where can I get them from and roughly how much for?

Cheers,

Jake

For the pointy:
If you get an OE seat cowl, they come with them, painted too.
Don't know about other makes though,or the Curvy!

Banditmania sell them, they call them "saddle shutters". They're not cheap, and the bolts are always the wrong size, but they do the job very nicely.

Ah cool. Well I have a seat cowl to go on, but its off my old red one so it needs respraying. Though hoping that the gap fillers will still fit with the pillion seat on cos I'm gonna be using it quite a bit now...

You're gonna be using the pillion seat but the grab rail is useless to ya. Sure coz you won't be the one hanging on for dear life I reckon.

My Brother won't hold onto the grab rail....Puts his arms round my waist...as does girlfriend if were trappin' if we're plodding she doesn't hold on at all...even on M/ways at 80Mph. So it may be useless to some people .

cant do that meself, i like my pillion to hold one hand on the rail, then one on me, then when i slam on they dont launch me into the tank, kn**ers first, its a confidence thing i think, my partners happy with one hand on the rail, but wont use both hands, wheras if i were a pillion id be holding onto the rider for grim death........if im falling off so are they

I won't let any of my pillions hold on to the grab rail, it feels a hell of a lot more dangerous than holding on to me. Personal preference... so yes they are useless to me. Half the new bikes out don't have grab rails at all, agreed they are mainly sportsbikes but still..

Cyphertheory, where else can I get them other than banditmania?

Personally I think that the grap rail is in the wrong place as any pillion who reaches for the grab rail BEHIND themselves will inevertably lean backwards (even if only slightly) which WILL unbalance the bike somewhat
