![]() ![]() If you go to the website: WWW.POWERCOMMANDER.COM ,it has all the downloads currently available. Also has instructions on the buttons. It does say that: If you have an exhaust of type 'A',and they only have listings for types 'B,D,Z', then go with a map that is closest to the spec you are running. I have an Akropovic full system, they don't have a listing for it,so I went with a map for the Micron full system. I was a little dubious, but it works a treat, and I have no complaints! Check the maps available, match one that nearly/does match your spec. Also,we are classed as the 'european' spec bikes. Good luck! |

Best to get a map built specifically for the bike on a dyno, As they do vary bike to bike and there is no way of knowing the origins of the maps that are uploaded and what conditions the original bike was setup in.
£150 odd for a custom map, but at least it will be right ![]() |

![]() ![]() There was one 'up-loaded' map available the last time I looked. Yeah I do agree,it would be best to get a pukka map done on your bike, which I will be doing as soon as I've got my air-filter. You can compare maps to the original program on the bike, using the software that comes with the P.C. That way you can check out how radical the chosen map is compared to standard. |

But most of them are done on tuning link which throws up some odd numbers as the computer doesn't take in to account 'real world' changes such as wheel slip, chain wear etc, which will cause a spike in the graph and tuning-link will think its a fuelling problem and adjust the map to suit.
Tuning link was basically a tool to sell dyno's so 'anyone' could map a bike, the better operators dont use it. If your waiting for a filter, most Dyno centres with a 250i will prob have a filter on the shelf or at worst next day, you could have it fitted when its mapped, doubt they'd charge to fit the filter. |

I had a PCIII fitted to my bike when I got it. Got the bike dyno'd and re-mapped and it's now lovely.
Recon that if you can get a dyno and map done by a pro - well worth the money |

![]() ![]() Yeah I noticed that when I compared a map for a leo-vinci race pipe to the micron one. Thats why I went for the micron one,as it was smoother, and nearer to the factory map. But yes,I will get a pukka map, just so I know I'm getting the most from my bike! Cheers! |
