Default New Bike Possibility - Options

Right i have to be honest and say im thinking of changing the sv,

its my second one but despite it being a naked it still doesnt "Fit" me,

Now iv been looking about nad have approximatly 12 bikes on my list to look at, and im thinking of going big and aexpensive as i really should buy a house this/ next year,

any ways.... the debate i have is

the Falco... yum yum yum,

New £4999 (bit pricey)

however, bikes with 8000 miles on the clock are also upfor about £4200? or a bit lower, (stil pricey eh?)

now looking at this, if i were to buy a brand new one (Must hide wallet) rode it for say 5000 miles, i might loose about £700 on it? ok so i dont know the actual sale prices, but im struggling with paying only a little bit less for a bike that has already had 8000 or more miles on it,?

and then theres the fact that it only is £1000 more than a brand new sv650..

im yet to test ride one any way, just wanted to get ppls opinion on buying new.
iv done it once and said never again, but i just cant stop staring at the shiny think... with pretty bits and spangly bits and *stares longingly at picture*

any way ramble over

hi

i swapped my SV for a falco 2 weeks ago, best thing i ever done great bike power everywhere, more comfortable for me than the SV and best of all there arent many on the roads. one thing with buying new make sure the first service is included as its a £300 service (valves are checked)

The Falco depreciation is considerably steeper than your initial thoughts. However they do plato out at circa £3100-£3500 2 years old from there there is very little depreciation.

There is no such thing as a new falco, they were discontinued last year as such you may be looking at un registered stock.

They are a great bike, loads of grunt and fairly exclusive try posing these questions on the falco forum at apriliaridersite

loads of knowledgable stuff and good guys

p/m me if you want a greater understanding

According to the bike mags they're still importing Falcos to order, just that it's not in the main line. And bike mags are never, ever wrong But there's absiolutely nothing expensive at all about an Italian litre twin at £5000, it might not be as glam as a 999 or a Mille, but they're a carzy bargain at that price.

Re: Falco

Before you get too excited, have a test-ride.

When I decided to upgrade, I had a go on one and I HATED it.

To use your words - it didn't FIT me at all.

Just thought I'd chuck in my 2p-worth.
