Default powder coating a wheel

do you need to remove the wheel bearings when powder coating and is it a hard job to and how much ruffley are a new set

yes you'll have to remove the bearings , as to how hard they are to remove, well a decent drift and a club hammer should take care of that.

replacements, Mrs suzuki will charge you something like £35 for them, but if you take the old ones to a bearing place (I've used bensham bearings in Croydon before and a place in Enfield0 you can normally get double shielded (the originals are single shielded) one for about £6-8 each.

is Doubl-shielded better then? and why?
i know nothing about bearings,

I have found that a 1/2 socket enxtention bar the best for whacking out the bearings

There are 2RS type which have rubber seals and there are another type ZZ which has metal sheilds. The rubber resists water better but cannot rotate as fast than the ZZ type. Im not sure at what level this actualy matters.

top bombing any one used the powder coating place in mitcham or can recommend any in the london area
