Default 4K Service

Morning All. My K5 is coming up for its 4k service within the next 5 or 6 weeks. Any recommendations of dealers in the North Kent area to take it to.

Bought it from Premier Motorcycles in West Wickham but will ring round a few for prices.

Cheers,

Tilly

In all honesty, Premier may not be the cheapest, but thier service is top notch and worth it. I have never paid anywhere near the estimate that they quote anyway. Think my 4k was about £100. Mines been serviced there up until the last service, which i done myself...shes getting on a bit, and gets fettled with by myself nowadays.

Queue the Do it yourself brigade!

Nice one. Looks as though Premier is the place to go.

I at least want to get dealer services all the time it is under warranty and then I expect I will do it myself. Think I'm correct in saying that the warranty is invalid if you don't stick to the service intervals and get it done by s Suzuki dealer...?

Its a grey area to be honest. By what has been said by others on this here forum, as long as you can prove that the Suzuki service schedule has been followed, then this apprentley does not affect your warranty.

Also Premier will allow you to run a 4k service interval schedule, and not the wierd 4000, 7500 etc type schedule, which saves you a service overall.

Finally got mine done at Premier last week. It was £161 all in.

Its teh more expensive 8k one now I've got to worry about. Use the SV for work so it'll be due in 4 months

I found that the 8k was also reasonable. Its all about how you look after the bike to be honest. If you let things like brake calipers sieze and things like that, thats when the cost go up.
