A new venture into motorsport

yes me and my best mate are taking our first steps into the wacky and brilliant world of lawnmower raacing!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yes u heard it we r gonna b racing lawnmowers!!!!!!!!!! u may giggle but trust me these things are no small toy. with the right gearing these things can do upto 45mph and 2inches off the floor trust me thats fast!!!!!!!!!

so we have gathered parts to build our class 2 mower!

(the guy in the back with the simpson on is called stig! his mower is a skag a mega silly machine with a variable transmission!!!! tht thign really does shift!!!!)

basically a old petrol style mower which u control from behind on a trailing seat!!!!! these things do motor n gettin the hang of sliding them is ace!!!!!!!!

no we have most of our parts but could do with a few more and this is where i am asking you guys for help!! seeing as this is done on the cheap things need to b as cheap as possible or kindly donated(maybe get some sponsored by sv650.org stickers on it) i am lookin for old tat u know the stuff we all have stuck at the bottom of the garage that you know you aint gonna use.

we need:

*Brake lever and master cylinder( whole assembly would b brilliant through to caliper, not bothered what its off as long as it works.)

*Cable operated clutch lever.

*A finger lever for out throttle(little short lever).

*2 old shocks for our back suspension

*an old spline shaft off a gearbox( so we can make a huge modification to our gearing setup)

*old karting or bucket seat(we have one but its a bit tatty)

also on another note a pair of motorcross boots size 9.5 to 10 would b gr8 too!!! save gettin my alpinestars dirty

Can't help on the 'wanted' front I'm afraid - but I just wanted to say GOOD LUCK & ENJOY !!

I used to run a pub down in Surrey a few years ago - and some of customers put a team together for the 12 hr endurance race at Pulborough - we went along (all night) to give support - what a giggle we all had, it was brilliant.

oh its certainly fun to watch. n these things dont really run silencers either!!!!!!! so trust me these things are LOUD too!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean REALLY LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! well when i start racing n tht i will start posting so u guys can cum n watch if u want. they are normally hel at steam rallies n tht so sumitmes a small charge but it makes for a gd day out.
