Hi everyone,
Not signed up to this before, but I have had my SV for about two 1/2 years and absolutely loved it! After much deliberation I am now selling cause I fancy a bigger bike. Here is the spec: SV 650 naked version, blue. 53 plate and I bought from new (from Crescent in Verwood). 12,000 miles, twice round Europe! Genuine Suzuki undertray and carbon fibre hugger (fitted by Crescent) Nearly new tyres (think I've done under 500 miles on them) Datatool System 3 alarm/immobiliser Alpha Dot Full service history and all paper work Leo Vince legal (it has an e-stamp) exhaust (slip-on), only a year old and makes the bike sound flippin lovely - if you don't want this I can fit the original and I will sell it seperately. Mainly dry miles except when I have been caught out on my trips (but only in the summer!) This has been my first ever bike and my much loved toy (I passed my direct access test and picked it up). It is a genuine bike that I have properly used it to tour and have fun on but it has been mechanically looked after and cleaned loads. During my time with it it has gained a few marks; the grab rail has been scratched by bungees, there is a small chip in the paint on the tank (I have bought some touch up paint to sort this out) and I must point out that I snapped the rear break lever (having a go at getting my knee down round a secluded round-about and decked it out!). I have done a homemade repair job on the break lever for now (I find it fine) but I can replace this if it is a problem. I am proud to say it has never been dropped, I can't wheelie and haven't tried. I have spare brake pads (I was going to change them before last trip but the originals were ok). I have struggled to decide on which bike to get next cause the SV is so good - it tours and keeps up with the bigger bikes (the V twin power out of corners is brilliant), it always feels safe and looks wicked. Looking for around £2650 ONO. I live near Poole in Dorset. Please call me on 07970 088845 if you are interested. Unfortunately I can't upload the pictures so if you want me to send you some please call or e-mail me. Thank you, David |

Thats a great price.. I have bought a pointy 53 with the system 3 and alpha dot in mint condition and stuff... Needed new tyres and I paid 3200 from a dealer so your price sounds pretty good... I would have bought it if I hadnt bought mine a month or so back... Good luck getting what you want for it! Should be easy!

Suprised there hasnt been any interest in this. It looks like a tidy bike and a pretty good price... The security on this bike is a must and so is a snip to find a used bike with it in.
Same security as mine and it lets you walk away from your bike without having to have it on a bit of string tied around you leg incase someone tries to pop it in a truck! |

Saw this posted on our intranet at work - QinetiQ.
Would you consider selling me the hugger? I could collect so no hassles with P&P Cheers. |

Hi all, I'm about to put this on the Autotrader, so if your interested please let me know!!
In reply to some of the posts: Skip I got me self an R1 now, bit of a different beast but I already love it. The test is next month when I go off for a tour round Wales with my mate. Still tempting to pop out on the SV though but no insurance now (swapped to new bike). Just changed the R1's aftermarket can back to stock, mainly cause it wasn't legal but also theres not much point on a four - thats one thing I loved on the SV, with the Leo Vince it sounds real nice without being offence (load when you need to be, i.e. let a car know you are there!). With the R1 as soon as you go up in the rev range you are sending out a very loud notice to everyone that you are going quick (I'd rather the stealth approach!). Fullstop102 Thanks for your comments, I have to agree that its a good price but I now need the money! (having just forked out on the R1). 1world2wheels Sorry but I can't really sell the undertray seperately, I think it is definately needed on it to stop all the crap getting on the shock. However, may be interested in selling the can seperately if your interested! |

How much for the can?
What did you think of Crescent, My bike came from there - but not direct to me. Is it not true that whole bikes don't sell on this site because we've all got one? But parts, yes please. |

Hi Stu,
Sorry for late reply, I've still not listed the bike (I have a friend who may take it off my hands once they have passed the test) but if anyone is interested in the bike please contact me. I don't rate Crescent in Verwood, they were ok with the sale of it but the cost and quality of the servicing there is poor. They have a nice showroom and the team do work on the race bikes there but ultimately the cost of the overheads gets passed to you. They have a site in Charminster which is ok, but I have used a company called Dynomite in Boscombe which is family owned, less expensive and you don't have to worry some monkey has spannered your bike!! I would be happy to sell the can to you, I bought it about a year ago for about £300, so I am after £180 for it. Its not done many miles and looks great and its one of the main reasons it has been hard to decide which bike to go for. If you have a standard can get it swapped, the right can means it isn't obseenly loud and it will suddenly feel like a proper bike! (also E U regs means the original can weighs a flipping ton). Let me know if you are interested. |
