Was toying with the idea of working as a doorman to earn a few extra quid.
Has anyone here ever worked as one and if so, how do you go about it? Would you recommend it or not? |

A couple of times. I do know that you now have to be licenced by the local council. The money is poo for the hassle you get. I done 2 gigs and said that was it.

I did... Well, sort of. We had 3 subhumans whose job it was to injure people, and me as the brain. It was great. Like being John Connor in Terminator too. "Are you calling moi a dip****?" AIEEE!
Quite good money too, considering that I never had to so much as move a muscle...

Many companies will take you on and give you proper training too. Unlike my employer who did things very illegally. As said the money is pants but it was a second job for me so didn't mind so much. Plus we got to 're-educate' some real nasty bits of work. After all a little bit of pain never hurt anyone. Seriously it can be demanding work and week after week of getting punched, kicked, bitten, scratched spat on, stabbed and glassed can take their toll on you. Of course it depends where you work and who yo uwork with. Some of the doormen just want to cause trouble as much as stop it.

Being a short **** I would suggest there must be easier ways of earning a few extra quid.
every beer head thinks they can take you. the girls are worse. hours of work are terrible. Pay unless you turn a blind eye is equally bad. forget bouncing it just aint worth it.
