Default Best way to clean/refresh inside my helmet (ooer!!)

Not quite SV talk, but quite technical in its way....

I want to use my existing helmet as a spare. How is the best way to clean or freshen up the inside?

You can get lid interior cleaner. Used it on mine to some good effect. Im sure however, there are other more general produts out there.

You can buy special sanitising lid spray. It works but it doesnt last long.

I used the shower to dampen the inside of my lid and then I rubbed baby shampoo into the lining and then rinsed it out again in the shower.

It it worked really well, took a couple of days for my lid to dry out again properly though.

Fizz, your idea seems like a good one, as I said, there is no rush on it drying out, as it will only be a spare. I will let you know how I get on.

Cheers

I've washed the inside of my lid with baby shampoo before and it works quite well, like Fizz said it does take a couple of days to dry out though
