Until now my bike has always been garaged.
I parked on the road, in the middle of a car sized space at an angle of about 20-30 degrees. The rear wheel was against to curb, with the steering lock on. After going for a walk, I returned to find that someone had moved my bike. It was now parallel with the curb. It had been obviously been dragged round as there are scuff marks on the tyres. Nobody saw it happen, so I don't know who is responsible. Now as you can guess, I'm quite angry that someone has touched my bike. ![]() Is it against the law for someone to move my bike? |

Not sure if its illegal or not but the I doubt the police will be remotley intersted. Have u tried chaining it to a lampost or possibley fitting an alarm.
Very annoying that someone moved it, it wasnt in a resticted parking area was it where some over zealous parking attendant has decided your taking up to much space. Other than that chain it to a big dog ![]() |

I reckon more some busybody moved it as they almost bumped it. If it was gonna be nicked it'd be gone, a steering lock alone is no detterant.

Thanks for the sugestions.
Someone else has mentioned "Taken WithOut Consent" (TWOC) so I'm going to find out exactly what the law states about it, just to be sure of my facts. |

Park it somewhere else, keep it well locked and move on with your life.
Yes, it's annoying when people touch your bike, but they haven't done any harm (have they?) so what difference does it make? |

and as far as I know, "taken" means the object was out of your possession, which I don't think this can possibly be classed as.
