Default Plenty of Winter gear, not much summer?

Hi all

have any of you got any advice on what to wear in this heatwave we are having?
i have 2 piece RST leathers and a JTS textile jacket but to be honest its still way to uncomfortable to wear either in this weather.
i don't want to ride in shorts and tee shirt for obvious reasons, and you look in any bike shop etc there is soo many extras to help keep warm but not much the other way

the only thing i can think of is like the alpine stars bionic armour suit vest and a long sleeve t shirt over the top but the armour jacket is like £170 ish

any one got any suggestions on what you wear in this heat to protect and stay cool

thanks

I hear an EDZ Inner Shell is good for hot weather, under other gear- it acts as a heat shunt, apparently. Also good in winter, by the wonders of Teknolergy.

I've just got a Spada airflow jacket, £70 they were new though mine was £30. It's basically a string vest with sleevs and armour Really not very much abrasion protection I think apart from where the armour is, but then I'd sooner be cool and on the ball in light protection, than roasting and distracted in heavy armour.

I'd second the EDZ stuff, I have some, and riding in this heat is bearable, plus it has the added advantage of allowing me to get my leathers off with out them sticking to my arms and legs.

Seen a few people in the armoured mesh type jackets, and they look good for impact protection and staying cool, but I can't beleive they'd be much good for sliding resistance.

Oh, and as Razor says ... ride faster

The mesh itself is pretty tough, not as good as leather or regular textiles but it's not as awful as you'd think. What I did though, was look over my battlescarred jacket to see where it's damaged, and everywhere that has notable abrasion, there's armour on the mesh jacket. I'm sure you'd pick up rash all over, but the points that would get it worst if you were in, say, a t-shirt are well protected.
