Default wheelie how-to videos online

I noticed when looking through the forums that a lot of people ask about how to do wheelies, and normally recieve clear instructions in text, but a picture is worth a thousand words. I found a few videos on youtube about how to do it.

http://www.youtube.com/results?searc...&search=Search

Don't think this has been posted before, having never tried to wheelie myself i am not sure how good they are, but there are a couple on the list.

Hope this helps someone who's thinking about trying it.

Harry.

It's different wheelieing a twin than trying it on a four.

You don't have the grunt to do it in second so you have to balance it if you want to get one longer than 20 metres.

The SV comes up from a standstill and can be carried a fair way on just power, but finding the balance is the best way to do it.

Not necessarily a Twin(V?) or IL thing. All bikes are different.

The SV still needs the clutch in second AFAIK.

Cheers

I've watched that video before and agree, you can not wheelie the SV in the way that it's described on that video. At least not to the same results. The twin is easy to wheelie at very low speed. It can wheelie straight from 2nd gear but takes quite a bit of clutch dumping and again only at low speed. It gets easier if the sprockets are changed. less teeth on the front, more on the rear.

Best way of wheeling the SV is up in 1st at low speed and go through the gears whilst the front is up high.

As Ben has stated. All bikes wheelie differently depending on what size of machine it is and what cc it is. That video wrongly assumes that you have a big in-line 4 machine.
